With several years as a Development Producer much of our role has been based on the strength of ideas, and ability to produce them, on time and on budget.
Chances are what's best for your business may not be an "off the shelf" video, but a strategic, creative idea. Here's a few of ours.
Thinking a little differently and making people smile is an important part of any promotion. I made a series of videos for Mum and Dad's Kitchen to showcase their incredible pies and make people want to share this video which did very well for them.
Everyone tells you "You need to tell a story", but nobody tells you how. I started making business profiles based on 30 years in TV as if they were fun, lighthearted segments for "The One Show". Come up with an interesting way of telling the world what you do, show them how good you are at doing it, make it look great and drop it on the top of your website and you'll have the best calling card you an get.
A true passion project. My partner was going through hell going through the menopause, and I wanted a project to show that we had all of the kit and expereince to pull together a broadcast quality podcast right in my own kitchen, so I got together with the lovely Sophie Cartledge from Hormones On The Blink, and produced this important series for them.

A service that came from a video I shot for my own kids. My mum was born in 1929 and has seen things her grandkids can only imagine. Wanting to capture her memories and clear up some confusion with some old BW photos in the family album I asked her to go through the album and tell me who these people were, what they were like and give us a few stories..

Many years ago I used to make The Real Holiday with Gaby Roslina for Channel 4. Based on the fact that families are funny and entertaining when they get together for special events I pitched The Real Wedding Show to ITV. They didn't go for it but I figured there'd definitely be an appetite for fun, realistic light hearted documentaries about family and friends on the biggest day of their lives. And so it turned out.

Another take on finding "The Story". Your customers will have a story even if you can't find one. Let them tell the world how your products or services have changed their life for the better. What was life like before? Why did they chose you? How does your product make them feel? Knowing how to approach these questions are the fundamentals of telling a story that people will engage with.
We all know real life testimonials and "Social Proof", are the best way to prove to your customers your qualifications and customer satisfaction, the problem is being a little camera shy is part of being British. Add to this the the ability to produce these for a very reasonable price and telephone testimonals are fantastic, regular social media content that promotes your business and gets word out there tio a massive audience, These are priced to make a monthly subscription available to all businesses whatever the size.
